- The Locust Pose
It is one of the easiest home exercises. Just, lie down on your stomach, with arms beside the body; make sure that the palms and the forehead rest on the floor. Join the big toes inwards so that the buttocks are firm. Exhale; lift the legs up without folding the knees while you also lift the head, arms and the upper torso, while the torso rests on the floor. Make the arms parallel to the floor with palms facing the ceiling, and stretch the entire body in this pose. Hold till a count of 10 and come back slowly. It will act on the fat on your belly, arms, shoulders and chest.
- The Boat Pose
This one is amazing for not only shedding pounds off the belly but for toning the abs as well. Simply sit on the floor stretching your legs straight in front. Keep both hands, pointing towards feet, near the hips. Lean back slightly and raise your hands so that they become parallel to the floor, and the pressure is on the breastbone. Now, exhale and raise your legs folding the knees a bit till your posture starts resembling a boat. Keep the pose for a count of 20 before you come back slowly.
- Half Lord of the Fishes Pose, Half Spinal Twist Pose
Absolutely beneficial for the stimulation of the abdominal organs, this pose (ardh matsyendrasan) will help you shed weight from your waist and back, while also straightening them out. Sit with your knees bent and feet planted on the ground, legs at 90 degree. Bring the left foot from below the left keg and rest the leg parallel to the floor. Exhale and bring your left arm forward to hold the right ankle. The right arm goes back and the palm is planted on the ground at 90 degree while you turn your head by 90 degree as well.
- The Triangle Pose
Stand straight, feet apart, the width of your hip. Turn the right foot to the right by 90 degree while at the same time to turn the left to the right a little. Exhale, and without bending the back, bend towards the right foot, trying to touch its ankle with the right hand; the left points towards the ceiling at 90 degree. Hold till a count of 30. Return while you exhale. Your abdomen will be powered and metabolism pumped to shed weight.
- The Warrior Pose
Stand straight on your feet and plant them at a distance of 4 feet from each other. Exhale, and raise your arms straight till they are perpendicular to the floor. Turn rout feet just like in the Triangle Pose. Exhale; twist the torso to your right, bend the right knee to make your shin perpendicular to the floor. The palms should be facing the floor, neck turned to 45 degree to the right. Hold to a count of 10 repeat.
